Living Water for the Weary

Scripture: John 7:25–52
In John 7:37, Jesus stands up and cries out, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink.”
The times I’ve been most thirsty are the times I’ve been most weary.
Are you feeling weary — physically weary, emotionally weary, spiritually weary? Maybe you’re pouring yourself out — for your family, your work, your church — and you’re running on empty.
To the weary and worn-out, Jesus says, “Come to me and drink” (v. 37).
And here’s the promise: “Whoever believes in me … out of his heart [or her heart] will flow rivers of living water”?
But what does that mean?
What does it mean to come to Jesus and drink? And how do rivers of living water flow from a tired heart?
